This fixed-fee, pay-per-session structure provides clarity without long-term financial commitment.

How many sessions are needed

The number of sessions depends on:

the issues involved (children, finances, or both)
the complexity of arrangements
how easily agreement can be reached

Many cases resolve within a small number of sessions. Costs remain proportionate to the time required.

Preparation of Mediation Outcome Documents

Where agreement is reached in mediation, the mediator can prepare documents outlining what has been discussed and agreed.

These documents can then be shared with your solicitor, who may use them when preparing legally binding agreements or consent orders where appropriate.

These are fixed fees per person, per document.

If your circumstances are particularly complex or involve a larger amount of financial documentation, additional preparation time may occasionally be required. If this is the case, any adjusted fee will always be discussed with you in advance.

In eligible cases involving children, the government mediation voucher scheme may contribute up to £500 towards joint mediation session fees.

This scheme:

Applies only to cases involving children
Is subject to eligibility criteria and availability
Does not usually cover MIAM fees
Eligibility is confirmed during the MIAM
